Community

This is not another wellness group asking you to post a transformation photo. Every Verified member — someone who meets all six metabolic health markers, no medication required — earned their place with real lab numbers, not a flattering angle.

This is where the 7 Percent come together — not to show off, but to help each other stay on the path, and help others find their way onto it.

What This Community Is

The 7 Percent Community consists of two sub-groups — the Verified and the Aspiring. The Verified are those who meet all the criteria and are true 7 Percenters — share how you got here and how you stay on the path. The Aspiring are those who may have one or more markers outside the criteria but are committed to getting them in range — learn from those who have done it and share your progress.

Within the Verified Group, members are further recognized at various tiers: Silver (ages 18-49), Gold (ages 50-69), or Platinum (ages 70+) These tiers are based on age — not because older members tried harder, but because their bodies had more working against them along the way.

What We Are Up Against

It is more important than ever to build this community of strong, vibrant people. Our present healthcare system provides no reward for being healthy. In fact it is the exact opposite — if you are unhealthy, you pay the same amount for health insurance as a 7 Percenter, and you actually benefit financially because you use far more of the system while paying the same price.

Compare this to driving. A driver with a history of accidents and traffic violations pays more for car insurance than one with a clean record. Why is it not the same for health insurance?

The common counter-argument is that we are not in control of our health — that it is all genetics. The data disagrees. Yes, there are always outliers — the fit person who still gets cancer, the heavy smoker who lives to 95. But outliers do not change the statistics. This is about shifting the odds in your favor, not guaranteeing an outcome.

Since there is no direct savings for being fit and healthy, a real problem emerges. This is a well-documented phenomenon in insurance economics called adverse selection — and it is one of the central reasons the Affordable Care Act introduced community rating, rules designed specifically to prevent healthy people from segmenting themselves away from everyone else.

As a result of being disincentivized, chronic disease rates in America are higher than at any point in the last century. On top of that, the pharmaceutical and health product industry spent a record $457.3 million on federal lobbying in 2025 — 2,632 clients lobbied on health-related issues that year, breaking the previous record.

Think about that for a minute. Why do they need to lobby so hard if they are doing the right things? Why are we encouraged to use GLP-1 drugs to lose weight instead of changing our lifestyle?

A 2026 Gallup poll found that only 49% of Americans can now afford quality healthcare — down from 61% just three years ago. The lowest level on record. And the trend is accelerating.
Until the system changes to reward health the way it should, your best protection from rising healthcare costs is simple: need it less. That is the personal mission of this site. Changing the system to reward it too — that is the movement.

Why We Can Make a Difference

The best way to change this is not to have the healthy simply pick up their ball and go home — but to help others get healthy. Be the example others need to turn their way of life around. With a large group of Verified 7 Percenters, very few can argue that the ability to be healthy is just luck of the genes.

There is presently no financial incentive — none — for staying healthy in the United States. A Verified 7 Percenter and someone who has never exercised a day in their life pay the same health insurance premium. The 7% puts almost no burden on the healthcare system, yet subsidizes everyone who does. That is not just unfair. It is backwards.

The healthcare industry is struggling under the weight of preventable chronic disease. The answer being offered is more medication, more intervention, more cost. What is almost never discussed is the simplest answer of all — help more people become healthy enough that they rarely need the system in the first place.

7% of all adults in the US is approximately 18 million people.

Now imagine if we could grow this movement to 30, 50, or 100 million.

This community would have the power to transform the medical industry — from one that mainly addresses sickness, to one that leads people to better health and a life with no medications.
